Snake BITES!
SUMMER 2026 Snake Season The start of summer means that there is an increased risk of snake bites in pets. If your pet is bitten by a snake, it is best to assume it is venomous bite. The onset of signs are varied, but it is usually within minutes of being bitten. The animal may initially appear to “recover” but usually relapses with the following symptoms. · Weakness, muscles shaking · Paralysis · Wide pupils · Trouble breathing · Vomiting · Agitation · Excessive drooling
